Cleanings & Comprehensive Exams
Comprehensive care begins with a thorough exam and cleaning of the teeth and gums.
We use advanced technology, like intra-oral cameras and panoramic x-rays, to get detailed images of the teeth and gums. Using these tools, Drs. Bixby can get exceptionally exacting information that reveals the patient's true oral health and provides the detail needed for treatment planning.
In addition to the thorough exam and routine cleaning, we will also perform an oral cancer screening using ViziLite. ViziLite is an advanced technology used to successfully identify soft tissue abnormalities that may develop into oral cancer.
Oral cancer is far too often discovered in late stage development, which is the primary reason for the consistently high death rate. When detected early, oral cancer is 90% curable !
