Children

Family DentistryThe team at the Michael Bixby Center for Advanced Dentistry take special care of children, offering gentle dental care that ensures a lifetime of smiles.

Once your child’s teeth start to come in, you should begin cleaning them by wiping with a moist washcloth. As your child gets more teeth, you can use a soft child’s toothbrush with a pea-size amount of toothpaste.

Regular Exams and Cleanings

We encourage parents to bring in their children for the first dental check-up at age three. Because many children develop cavities before Kindergarten, it is important that children develop proper brushing habits and see us regularly for a thorough exam.

Sealants

Sealants are tooth-colored resins that protects molars from bacteria and decay, preventing cavities.
